Our Sponsored Rider - Rubie Fitzpatrick Kenthurst NSW
My name is Rubie Fitzpatrick, I’m 14 years of age. I have been riding horses since I was 5 & have loved every moment of it ever since. My first Horse was a little black & white Shetland pony called Poncho who was very cheeky & knew every trick in the book – she taught me how to hang on.
I campaign two horses - a Palomino called LuLu – an Arabian X Stock Horse Mare & a Black Stock Horse gelding called River.
I currently attend Arndell Anglican College in North West Sydney & am in year 9. I study all the core subjects plus Agriculture & PDHPE Sport which I love.
My School has a very strong & involved equestrian community with most of my friends at School sharing my passion for horses. I have represented my school at numerous Interschool Equestrian Carnivals, such as ISHE, SMIEC, Arndell, Hunter Valley, Moss Vale & State Interschools at SIEC.
Last year at my end of School Awards I was awarded Junior Equestrian Person of the year, which was a real honour to be recognised for my equestrian achievements throughout the year by my peers at School.
I also attend Dural Pony Club, I have been there for 6 years. During my time at pony club I have competed & won at Zone & State level. Last year I was awarded overall Champion for the 13 & U15 years riders. I was also awarded a rug for Representation at other PC events outside of zone events. I have competed placed & won at State level for Mounted games, Team sporting & Show Riding.
Aside from PC & Inter School comps – I regularly compete in Hacking, Dressage, Jumping & the like. I have just become involved in Stock Horse comps with the purchase of our new Stock Horse by Acres Destiny - Gordon’s Broadacre. I am loving Working Stock Horse Classes, Camp Drafting & Team Penning being a stand out for me.
I am grateful of the opportunity to be a Sponsored rider for Horse & Co Dayboro & am also an Ambassador for Prydes EasiFeeds. I look forward to every new opportunity & experience my horses give me & never become complacent as to how lucky I am to be able to have a horse in my life.
