The Chambon Martingale is a training aid that when used correctly, encourages your horse to lower its head and stretch through its back to seek the contact.
The stretchy, bungee-type material does not force the horse's head into place, rather suggests a better head placement that will allow the rider to keep the horse in front of their leg and help to develop an overall better frame.
