Devils Claw is a plant native to Southern African Countries and been used for thousands of years by local Namibian tribes such as the San and Himba people as an "all purpose" treatment; particularly for pain and inflammation..

 

Devil's Claw Root is used for horses and ponies that are prone to muscular and joint problems as it contains 'Harpagoside', a naturally occurring compound which is only found in this plant.   Known as "nature's pain relief", Devil's Claw has been used as an natural alternative to Bute. 

 

It is ideal for older horses as it can help maintain flexibility & joint strength. This powdered root is sometimes easier to feed and can be absorbed into your horses system quicker.

 

Note this product should not be used in pregnant mares or horses being treated for ulcers.
