Why use Copper Sulfate Wax Marbles?

Copper sulphate works as a drawing agent and has been traditionally used by farriers to treat seedy toe, thrush and white line disease: However, on its own it can be extremely harsh on hooves. Combining this chemical with gentle healers such as Beeswax (which has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities), Manuka Honey (which is GMO free. Manuka honey is a natural ointment for wounds of all kinds. It is known as a super germ fighter and its acidic properties promote healing) and Essential Oils (traditionally Eucalyptus Oil, Lemon Myrtle and Tea Tree Oil have been used to disinfect wounds and ease inflammation) assists healing and growing out process.

Instructions
Our Copper Sulfate Wax Marbles are pliable as they are made with local beeswax, so its easy to get the desired amount. Make sure the hoof is clean and dry.  Roll desired amount and firmly push into place. Beeswax and oils repel moisture so will not stick thoroughly if the area is moist. Store in a cool dry place away from children.
